The Mercer County Public Library accepts volunteers ages 18 and over as needed to assist with library support tasks such as shelving, inventory, scanning, and packing seed library seeds. Volunteer opportunities are limited by the library’s needs, and are intended to create community connection and enhance community learning and engagement. The work of volunteers and interns is not intended to replace the performance of essential services by paid employees.
Volunteers under age 18 may be approved by the Library Director on a case by case basis, but typically would need to have a parent, guardian, or community organization mentor present while completing volunteer hours.
