If you are looking for an item that we don’t have, we may be able to borrow it for you from another library through interlibrary loan. Any adult borrower in good standing may request an interlibrary loan at the circulation desk, by phone, or by emailing staff@mcplib.info. Requested items may take up to 2-3 weeks to arrive.
Books must have been in publication for at least six months. Borrowed microfilm may only be used on library premises. Rare or costly materials usually cannot be obtained via interlibrary loan, but library staff can tell patrons where such materials are located so that patrons may visit the owning libraries.
While Mercer County Public Library does not charge overdue fines, patrons are responsible for paying any fines charged by the lending library on overdue interlibrary loan materials.
