Join the Library Board

The library board is entrusted by the community with the responsibility for ensuring that the library provides the best service possible in a sustainable and fiscally responsible manner. Together, its members set library policy, monitor the library’s budget and overall effectiveness, and participate in planning and advocacy activities for long term development.

The Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives provides information about the roles and responsibilities of library trustees, or you can learn more by contacting Director Jenni Link at 859-734-3680 x101 or jal@mcplib.info.

Vacancies on the Mercer County Public Library’s Board of Trustees typically occur with the expiration of a current member’s term. Such vacancies are generally announced on our website, in the library, in the local newspaper, and our Facebook page.

There are currently no board openings for which the library is accepting applications.
